I was emo, 'til I found out it was a thing that was defined and quantified. Once I found out what it was I put down the eyeliner and the stripes and shut up about my feelings.
Ennui never goes outta style, it's a classic.
Always afraid of a cliche`, me...I'll run a mile when I see one coming, change direction and just fucking gun it. The older I get, the more obvious it becomes that cliche's exist because people fucking love them, and people fucking love them because they are so comfortable and appropriate.
It's hard to tear yourself away from your cliche` once you've found one that feels like it fits so nice, it's adhered to your skin and the thought of ripping it off is almost unbearable...and if you've enough courage to peel it offa'yourself you end up feeling raw and naked and cold and exposed and you wish for it, fondly, like a too-big jumper with the sleeve-ends worn trough to exactly the right shape, where your hands sit and your fingers poke through and it's the kind of right-feeling that you only get when you grow inside something ... and how do I know where I stop and it starts...and how do I remember why I should let it go and not wish for it back...how do I think I could give it up and why why why?

Tasting the tears
That run down the gutter two teeth make
Tears in route
Running a groove in your cheek
Waterfalls leave smooth rocks
When the river dries up
You can determine where a river once was
Just by examining rocks
Your face never forgets a cry
Like trace remnants of acid in your spine
The erosion cries cause
Make whiskers prematurely sprout in men
And in women
Homogenize complexion
Diluting pigment
Until the whole face is washed with a slight mascara tint
Your face never forgets a cry
Like trace remnants of acid in your spine
~Why?(yoni)
I found my blood and lost another friend, cast off the dead weight push up the lead weight, feelings are so heavy, the burdon of being upright is ridiculous
I'll see you there
I see you there
my eyes get clearer every day
I've been looking at the picture of dorian grey (sp?)
See you at the funhouse, guys...I'll bring the biscuits.

i want to help you but I can't and it's not my help that you need anyhow...so I say, I''l just sit in this life raft and float here till you let me know that I can come back to land...I'll just sit here staring through binoculars at the sky and hope that i don't run out of water and cigarettes before it's over...just let me know, kid, I'll be here when you need me...til then kid, til then...

"But I did love you then, only I didn't realise it because it was so strong, and I still do love you,"

and I regret all that bit where we weren't together, I tried to fill in the gap you left and pretend with someone else, I still get strange and worry some, but I need to remember this isn't like the last time and we know what we want now, and it's each h other and I'm so glad,
my heart swells up all fat and happy when I think of what I feel for you and I have to remember not to get carried away when I do, because I'm not sure I can explain it to you to my satisfaction...and that doesn't matter anyhow.

I have crooked teeth, one of the front ones(not the very front ones, but one just to the right of those), is further back than the rest, it's dirtier looking than the others because I can't reach it properly when I brush my teeth. All my teeth are a bit yuck really I smoke a lot and often get very drunk and go to bed without brushing them. I have come to terms with the fact that I'll probably never have pretty teeth.
I kissed a canadian boy once, he told me he loved my teeth, he was drawn to people's imperfections, liked faces with character, I get that a lot, with boys that i kiss, when i discuss my imperfections;
"Oh, but it gives you character"
I am tired of being regarded as a caricature, a novelty, a cartoon.
I long to stick in someone's memory as just something real.
but, I suppose I am not real enough to remember.
like a dream that fades as soon as you wake up.
